i just like to complain i guess...but this is another message i got as a result of my comments on this yahoo story...

by Paul David Lujan on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 6:40pm

so i am in no way trying to trash this person, so i will leave off the name (not a friend)...i just take issue with her attitude towards things. this is my problem with liberals. they are just too damn soft.

below is the message she sent me...

All the hoopla about it I thought I would listen to it to see if it was going to be racist, political & if they were even going to bring up Dr. King & to my surprise they did! It wasnt racist & Dr. King's niece was there to preach & reiterate what MLK said so many years ago. It was nice to hear, kinda sad there was all this negativity around it, even i listened to it with a negative bais waiting for something political.

so here is what i take issue with...

the lack of education about the world around us.

the media, and our somewhat lazy attitude about hearing "negative news" has people so disillusioned that they only pay attention now to "see what happens", but not really to be informed about anything. maybe if the news is mostly negative, you might want to pay attention.

glenn beck and sarah palin make a living off selling fear, all day every day. but today, they turn out and show a little love, and all of a sudden the hippy crew is thinking "maybe they are not so bad after all."

so what, because they show some love, and since MLK's niece was there, we should respect what they did?

its a joke.

below is what i replied to her.

(everyone is gonna think i'm a dick, haha)

hi.

to be honest, i didn't listen to any of it or watch any coverage. i think glenn beck is a fake, and regardless if he had some sort sponsorship for the thing, i think its a bit silly.

he and sarah palin, regardless if they show this occasional lighter side, what they stand for is dangerous to this country.

it was a stunt, and without knowing where you stand politically, so forgive me if i offend, none of it is genuine in my opinion.

i think what you will see is this whole spectacle turn into a debate on how "if a muslim group wants to build a mosque at ground zero, then surely there is nothing wrong with a peaceful white protest on mlk day. and look how well "our" protest went, there was no hate!

right.

lets also not mention how much time and energy beck spends on fanning the flames about issues of race, and reverse racism -- and then to come out and be this new advocate, with sarah palin?

im not fooled so easily. sorry.

i love the message of equal rights, but for them to be the ones leaning on this new message, when clearly so many of them cant even grasp the concept of equal rights outside of race and skin color (forget sexual orientation, age, or handicapped), it kind of offends me.

you live a life of a good person. you dont scare a nation and then come in like youre not so bad after all.
