i just like to complain i guess...but this is another message i got as a result of my comments on this yahoo story... by Paul David Lujan on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 6:40pm so i am in no way trying to trash this person, so i will leave off the name (not a friend)...i just take issue with her attitude towards things. this is my problem with liberals. they are just too damn soft. below is the message she sent me... All the hoopla about it I thought I would listen to it to see if it was going to be racist, political & if they were even going to bring up Dr. King & to my surprise they did! It wasnt racist & Dr. King's niece was there to preach & reiterate what MLK said so many years ago. It was nice to hear, kinda sad there was all this negativity around it, even i listened to it with a negative bais waiting for something political. so here is what i take issue with... the lack of education about the world around us. the media, and our somewhat lazy...

border wars. by Paul David Lujan on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 11:15pm im reading articles in the news, and i have got to admit, its not really looking so hot in the world right now. the following is a list of things i personally feel are leading down a path of “not cool” for the united states, and our future. mostly “observations". so first off, the obvious problems are iraq and afghanistan. those are problems unto themselves, but thats just a starting point for the many other problems facing the world today. lets talk about tension on the borders. what we have right now is a neighbor in iraq, iran, that does not have a solid history with the united states. in fact, they kind of hate us, atleast the iranian government does. so thats cause for tension. in afghanistan we have a neighbor, pakistan, that kind of wants to help out the united states, but at the same time, they are not cool with CIA under the guise of NATO launching unmanned drone attack in their count...

instead of cuts to schools and other social programs -- i propose taxing the rich. by Paul David Lujan on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 5:29pm taxing billionaires... doing a little research -- as of march 2010, there are roughly 400 billionaires living in the unites states. if they were to have their taxes raised 5% , and only on their 1st billion dollars worth of assets, it would create an additional 20 billion dollars to state and federal governments. 400 (billionaires) x 1,000,000,000 (first billion) = 400,000,000,000 ($$$) 400,000,000,000 ($$$) x 0.05 (5%) (tax hike) = 20,000,000,000 ($$$ towards deficit) taxing millionaires.... there are roughly 2,800,000 millionaires living in the united states. lets assume that 10% are really rich, but not billionaires, but like at least $50 million in net assets. 2,800,000 (millionaires) x .10 (10%) = 280,000 (the "over $50 milly in da bank!" club) if we raised the taxes on just their first $5 million in net worth, we would ...

these conservatives, republicans, and "others" (greed mongers) that encourage privatizing our "public" education and instead boost "for profit" charter school trip me out. why do they like to compare what we should be doing to places like "south korea" and "china", and suggest that somehow they have it right on education, and that we should follow the lead. they actually make a case that a class of 100 kids is better than a class of 30, just as long as we pay the teachers more money and invest in a little more training. since when does the unites states strive to be like south korea, or china? no offense to south korea, but for the benefit of making something more profitable, these guys will kick any sense of american pride out the window. whatever happened to patriotism? when did money pass pride as something to admire? they back up their ideas with skewed facts, polls, surveys, etc., and in a lot of instances, just plain lies. the rea...
