bin laden is dead...dun dun dun.

found this writing in my old junk folder... (i dont think it was ever published anywhere, and im not sure when i wrote it) The hunt for bin laden... The biggest change you see in a country that is ruled by democrats opposed to republicans is... Fear does rule the day anymore. I am watching “The Hunt for Bin Laden” -- and the picture is clear, the fear is gone, and this guy is just a flawed dude with big ideas and a fat bank account. Instead of a set, he was bangin’ hard on the muslim religion. G.W. Bush made him a martyr and played into the game Bin Laden wanted to play...but religious ideology blinded by all parties involved, and we all suffered as a consequence. Under Obama as president, his pragmatic views save us from ourselves – and while religion and faith are  for sure  a part of who president obama is...they do not seem to have a veto power over his principles. Osama Bin Laden was not the boogie man...he was not much more than an idealistic gang banger ...

now that the election is nearing its final phase, i guess i am finally starting to get in the mood to be active again in political conversations. i have sort of stepped away from talking about politics for awhile, mostly because it seems the conversations have become stale, and the election season seems to have been going on and dragging on forever. the republican primary is what i think really just turned me off after awhile. it was like watching paint dry with how boring these candidates were, and all the while, you just knew not a single one of them (including romney) doest actually have a legitimate chance of unseating obama as president. its like a big drawn out process, and you basically already know the end of the story. i had said months before romney was chosen that he would be the guy, and it wasnt because of some great insight -- it was simply because i personally feel like republicans are predictable enough to pick the guy that most looked the part, and romney was the guy...

hate mail.

i just like to complain i guess...but this is another message i got as a result of my comments on this yahoo story... by Paul David Lujan on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 6:40pm so i am in no way trying to trash this person, so i will leave off the name (not a friend)...i just take issue with her attitude towards things. this is my problem with liberals. they are just too damn soft. below is the message she sent me... All the hoopla about it I thought I would listen to it to see if it was going to be racist, political & if they were even going to bring up Dr. King & to my surprise they did! It wasnt racist & Dr. King's niece was there to preach & reiterate what MLK said so many years ago. It was nice to hear, kinda sad there was all this negativity around it, even i listened to it with a negative bais waiting for something political. so here is what i take issue with... the lack of education about the world around us. the media, and our somewhat lazy...

border wars.

border wars. by Paul David Lujan on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 11:15pm im reading articles in the news, and i have got to admit, its not really looking so hot in the world right now. the following is a list of things i personally feel are leading down a path of “not cool” for the united states, and our future. mostly “observations". so first off, the obvious problems are iraq and afghanistan. those are problems unto themselves, but thats just a starting point for the many other problems facing the world today. lets talk about tension on the borders. what we have right now is a neighbor in iraq, iran, that does not have a solid history with the united states. in fact, they kind of hate us, atleast the iranian government does. so thats cause for tension. in afghanistan we have a neighbor, pakistan, that kind of wants to help out the united states, but at the same time, they are not cool with CIA under the guise of NATO launching unmanned drone attack in their count...

instead of cuts to schools and other social programs -- i propose taxing the rich. by Paul David Lujan on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 5:29pm taxing billionaires... doing a little research -- as of march 2010, there are roughly 400 billionaires living in the unites states. if they were to have their taxes raised 5% , and only on their 1st billion dollars worth of assets, it would create an additional 20 billion dollars to state and federal governments. 400 (billionaires) x 1,000,000,000 (first billion) = 400,000,000,000 ($$$) 400,000,000,000 ($$$) x 0.05 (5%) (tax hike) = 20,000,000,000 ($$$ towards deficit) taxing millionaires.... there are roughly 2,800,000 millionaires living in the united states. lets assume that 10% are really rich, but not billionaires, but like at least $50 million in net assets. 2,800,000 (millionaires) x .10 (10%) = 280,000 (the "over $50 milly in da bank!" club) if we raised the taxes on just their first $5 million in net worth, we would ...

who do you think?!?! the libyans!!!

who do you think?!?! the libyans!!! by Paul David Lujan on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 10:02am think of what the united states is doing in libya as "setting the stage".... think of the current military effort as setting up the board in a game of monopoly. first, you have to get everything in order...the chance cards need to be in place, then the community cards, then the bankers gets the money situated....etc. when this revolution in libya started, it seemed as if the rebels could really take gadaffi down, but then gadaffi broke out the military and flexed some muscle on the revolt--his own people. so up until that point, the united states was just letting it roll to see where things were going. once it appeared that gadaffi not only owned all the 'railroads and utilities' (monopoly, remember?), he also had boardwalk "and" park place along with every other meaningful property, and was about to shut it down. he said he was going to go house t...

about obama.

i had posted this on FB, but it was in the comments sections, and it didnt read properly... by Paul David Lujan on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 10:21am so here is the full text... _______________________________________ But I think -- I think that he is a guy that doesn’t bite off more than he can chew. The world is falling apart around him, literally… and even if you’re superman, you can still only do much about the world falling apart. Countries in the Middle East are falling due to revolt, and that’s not going to get any better before it gets much worse. If he does something about Libya where the military is involved, we will then be occupying another Arab country, and I am sure Iran would love the United States taking up another space in their region. It’s a no-win situation. This country, the united states, we are on the verge of a public revolt. The rich and powerful have decided it’s the 4th quarter and its due time to put this game away. They are now being blata...
